Taiwan’s Delegates Will Bring IoT Solutions to the Smart Cities Expo India 2018

Taipei, May 16th 2018: The Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) is pleased to announce its participation in this year’s Smart Cities Expo India, which is being supported by four other co-located expos to create ‘One Mega Event’, being held in Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, May 23-25.


Entrusted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Bureau of Foreign Trade of the Republic of China (Taiwan), TAITRA will lead a Taiwanese delegation to showcase solutions - products and services - that complement India’s efforts to manage the country’s IoT sector. Such solutions include in-wall WIFI access points, structure cabling solutions, IoT smart home, non-contract temperature monitors, slippage detector sensors, smart home automation, smart home systems, home sensor devices, IoT motherboard, fleet management, mini PCs, smart cameras, smart speakers, PV inverters, electronic payment systems, and more.


As a leading industrial computer provider, IEI provides products for computer-based applications such as factory automation, computer telephony integration, networking, security, IT systems, communication base stations, medical devices and kiosks. IEI offers flexible and highly integrated solutions for smart cities in the systematic development of transportation, home automation, intelligent retail management, unmanned manufacturing, telemedicine operations, and online and offline services. IEI will bring the Vehicle Computer Series latest products, In-Vehicle Systems, which use satellite positioning systems, electronic maps, Internet access, mobile communication systems with 3.75G/LTE/Wi-Fi/Bluetooth/GPS/RFID, and are being applied to fleet management & surveillance. Ltd. is your best choice for smart home solutions and a smart home surveillance system. As the portfolio company of Intel Capital and Giant, one of Taiwan's largest electronic payment terminal equipment suppliers, Microprogram Information Co. Ltd. will showcase their Electronic Payment System, which may be applied to different industries such as transportation, finance, retail, trade and more.


In 2016, bilateral trade between both countries multiplied nearly five times and was estimated at $US5 billion. The bilateral trade volume reached US$6.3 billion in 2017, making India Taiwan's 18th-largest trade partner in the world.


Taiwan’s New Southbound Policy is compatible with India’s Act East Policy. Bilateral trade between the countries is expected to continue to increase in the future.
